4 KIDS is owned by Robert and Amber Langdon. We live in Oklahoma with our four kids: Myranda, Brittani, Zack, and Ali. We started raising Boston Terriers when Robert and I were first married. When we moved to Indian in 1998, we purchased our first Shih Tzu, Prissy. We moved back to Oklahoma in 2000, and began raising Shih Tzus.
We raised Shih Tzu's for several years until our little stud, Brady died. We then retired our two girls Prissy and Jazzy. We lost Jazzy in the summer of 2007 and Prissy in May 2010. I have another little ShihTzu now named Ella, but she is just my baby, no pups from her.
My husband had always wanted an English Bulldog, so we purchased Fat Boy for him. We began to breed bulldogs afterward. We lost Fat Boy in May 2010, but had his son Titus and daughter Cookie. Unfortunately, we lost Titus in May 2011, but we now have Tator, Titus' son.
I wanted a little dog, so I decided to get a Chihuahua. I purchased Tinker in April 2010, and our little stud Pan in July 2011.
Most of our dogs are duel registered with AKC and UKC. Titus was an UKC Champion. Several others are currently working toward their UKC Championships as well. We decided to show our dogs in the UKC rather than the AKC because UKC offers a more relaxed atmosphere for us as well as our dogs.
We are a small family kennel. Our dogs are our pets before they are our breeders. We give each one love and attention on a daily basis. We breed very carefully to insure healthy mommas and puppies. We also retire our females between 6 and 8 depending on if they can safely and healthily continue to carry and raise their pups. Once our dogs retire they live out the rest of their lives as our pets, another reason to have a small kennel. I feel that they produce puppies for us to sale, and they deserve to get to be dogs when they can no longer produce pups. We are going to build very nice kennels and breeding facilities soon just to make thing easier for us, but I feel it is still important for them to be loved and treated like part of the family.
